Capt Frank 'Pinky' O'Connor in his P-51B-5-NA, "The Verna Q", with other aircraft of the 56th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group, in early 1944. O'Connor was Commanding Officer of the 56th, at the time based at Boxted, England.
